Attach any visual references that would assist me in drawing your character. Be as specific as possible. For your convenience, I have written a concise list of a few things to be aware of:
Pertaining to references of the character, I work best with turnaround/model sheets. However, I will accept references in any visual form as long as they are somewhat legible.
Be sure to include all important details that may have any possibility of being forgotten or overlooked during the process.
I do not work with written descriptions. If you cannot provide visual references, I am unable to send you an accurate quote, and I will not accept your order.
If you are looking to establish the first visual concept/design for your character, that is a separate commission process entirely. For more information, visit this page. (I am not accepting character design commissions at this time, though I intend to do so in the near future.)
Your upfront payment has been received and your slot has been reserved.
Initial layout sketch has been drawn. Once the layout is approved, work continues.
The character's body, face, clothing and accessories have been fully sketched. Details are to be reviewed and inaccuracies corrected if necessary. Revisions beyond this point are subject to additional charge.
Flat colors have been applied to the artwork. Colors are to be checked and adjusted if needed.
The shading and light source of the piece have been established. Some orders may omit this phase.
Blending, painting, visual fx and editing are done here. Some orders may omit this phase.
The artwork is complete and will be sent in full resolution via email shortly.
Thank you for giving consideration to purchasing my work. I typically keep in direct contact between each individual phase and make sure to double check every step.
If for whatever reason you may not want me to keep in touch between every step, and instead you may prefer to give me total creative freedom, I am content with that, though please inform me upon inquiry.
Please try to respond to my emails as soon as possible. I will only continue working as long as you give me approval. In the event that you do not reply within a 7-day time frame, I will pause work on your commission(s) and your slot will be lowered to the bottom of my queue. After 60 days with no reply, your slot will be forfeit with no refund and your commission(s) will be scrapped.
